☣️ What Are Corrupted Tools?
Corrupted Tools are the highest crafting tier in 99 Nights in the Forest, introduced February 21, 2026. They feature a glowing purple-black aesthetic and provide massive stat boosts over standard and reinforced gear. All Corrupted Tools deal bonus damage to shadow-type enemies and have unique secondary effects unavailable from any other source.
Unlike previous crafting tiers, Corrupted Tools cannot be crafted at a standard Workbench — they require the dedicated Corruption Forge structure, which itself costs Corrupted Ore to build. This creates a targeted progression gate intended to reward Hard Mode players.

⛏️ How to Farm Corrupted Ore
Method 1: Hard Mode Mining ⭐ Best Long-Term
The primary intended method. Enable Hard Mode in the lobby, reach Night 30, and Corrupted Ore veins (glowing purple) spawn in:
- Underground caves (2–5 Ore per vein)
- Industrial Zone basement level
- Rocky Outcrops near the waterfall (Night 40+)
Tool Required: Stone Pickaxe minimum. Iron Pickaxe for 2x yield.
Method 2: Forest is Angry Event ⭐ Best Before Night 30
During this event (ends March 1, 2026), elite Shadow Crawlers drop Corrupted Ore with a 15% drop rate. This is the fastest way to accumulate Ore early without reaching Night 30.
- Stack with Hard Mode for double efficiency
- Elite Shadow Crawlers appear from Night 5 during event
- Average: 3–5 Ore per 20-minute session
Method 3: Boss Drops
Mutant Bear and The Owl (Night 25+) have a 10% chance to drop 1–2 Corrupted Ore. Not reliable alone, but pairs well with other methods for supplemental income.

Can Corrupted Tools break or lose durability?
Yes. Corrupted Tools have durability like all other tools in 99 Nights. However, their durability pool is 3x higher than equivalent standard tools. You can repair them at the Corruption Forge using 1 Corrupted Ore per repair.
Do Corrupted Tools work in Normal Mode?
Yes — once crafted, Corrupted Tools can be used in Normal Mode. However, you cannot farm Corrupted Ore in Normal Mode (it won't spawn). All Ore must be farmed in Hard Mode or via the Forest is Angry event drop rate.
Can I drop or trade Corrupted Ore with teammates?
Yes. Corrupted Ore is a tradable item. You can drop it on the ground for teammates to pick up. This makes the Feaster class particularly useful — its passive generates Scrap that can fund a teammate's Ore farming effort.
